It has come to our attention that some organisations have received phishing emails attempting to fraudulently impersonate Hitachi Rail. We are contacting you to make you aware as precautionary measure.
Our procurement process is designed to mitigate against this activity. Therefore, no goods or services should be provided without a valid Purchase Order (PO) in place. This safeguards against fraudulent activity.
If you have received any requests that you suspect may be fraudulent, please immediately contact your Hitachi Rail procurement category manager and send the original suspect email as an attachment to cert@hitachirail.com.
We also encourage you to take advantage of the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS), by also forwarding any original fraudulent email as an attachment and sending directly to report@phishing.gov.uk.
